There isn't much on S. Simon & Co. other than they were at 13-19 Elizabeth St. in Chicago, ILL.  They were makers of type cabinets, type cases, galleys & most everything wood related used in a print shop. They also made and sold blank engravers wood.  Pictured below is a before and after picture of our Simon's angle top type cabinet.
